We are thrilled to announce that our very own James Lindley and Tom Wood have successfully completed our Mallorca charity cycle challenge in June. The team took on the intense heat and challenging terrain of Mallorca, all in support of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
Decked out in kit provided by La Bell Equipe, James and Tom cycled over five gruelling days, covering an impressive 800km. The ride took them through the stunning yet demanding Tramuntana mountains, up to the quaint village of Lluc and to the iconic lighthouse at Cap Formentor. They even tackled the notorious climb at Sa Calobra, proving their mettle and dedication to the cause.
The Castell team is always proud to work closely with the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation as well as supporting our own charitable causes. One of our notable collaborations was supporting the Change Foundation in their application for funding the Fencing 4 Change project. This initiative offers after-school fencing sessions for young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and thanks to the Foundation's support, it received three years of funding.
The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation funds small and medium sized charities across the UK and overseas working with children who are disadvantaged physically, socially or economically. They also fund hospices, mental health charities and cancer support charities.
Our Mallorca ride was a fantastic experience, and we are delighted to report that we are close to reaching our fundraising target. So far, we have raised £1,855 on JustGiving, which will be matched pound for pound by St. James’s Place, doubling the impact of our efforts for the Foundation's charities and community projects.
We are immensely grateful for all the support we have received and are eager to hit our final goal. Every little bit helps, and we would greatly appreciate any further contributions to give us that final push. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those supported by the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
